What I Do

  • I can help you build AI-first experiences, add AI features to your existing product or build custom AI tools for internal use.
  • I move fast, make reasonable trade-offs, and focus on the UI/UX in addition to the AI models. My goal is to build a system that delivers business outcomes and is easy to maintain.
  • I am open to working on a variety of AI projects. In the past, I have worked on building an agent to handle user queries, building UIs for image generation, finetuning and deploying custom image models and improving inference speed of models.

Who I Work Best With

  • I work best with startups and small teams that want to move fast and see quick results.
  • I'm hands-on - I write code, fix bugs, and build features myself rather than just advising.
  • I work independently and keep you updated on progress without needing constant meetings.
  • I am happy to collaborate with the engineers and designers on your team.

My Background

  • I started out as a data scientist building classification models for radiologists and ranking systems for online marketplaces.
  • In 2020, I started building products end to end, eventually cofounding prezo.ai where I served as the lead engineer. I worked with a team of talented designers and engineers to build and scale our product to half a million users. I architected and implemented core AI features while collaborating closely with my brilliant cofounder and CEO to shape the product vision.
  • Through these experiences, I've learned what makes AI projects succeed in the real world - from technical implementation to user adoption.
  • I'm actively building my own AI products while helping select clients with theirs. Having been on both sides of the table, I understand the pressures and priorities of startup engineering.

How We'll Work Together

  • First, we'll have a short call to discuss your project. I'll listen to what you need and tell you honestly if and how I can help.
  • Sometimes I may need to do more research for viability. I'll keep you updated on progress and let you know if I can't help.
  • If we're a good fit, I'll outline what I'll build, how long it will take, and what it will cost.
  • I do most work async through Slack or email, with an optional weekly check-in call. This lets me focus on building while keeping you in the loop.

How much does it cost?

  • I prefer charging on a project basis rather than hourly. I find this aligns our incentives better. It does however require clear communication and understanding of the project scope.
  • Projects typically range from $20K to $50K USD and take 4 to 12 weeks to complete. My minimum engagement is $10K.
  • Payment is structured in three parts: 50% to start, 25% at the halfway milestone, and 25% upon completion
